We took a trip down to Alexandria in early December, 2003 to check out the annual Scottish Christmas Walk. The weather was appropriate, blustery, about 32ºF and spitting snow. It was a nice parade and a fun time. Here are some photos - also of Bill & Pat's place in Alexandria. Click each for a larger view.

Rooftop deck. It was freezing and windy and most definitely not the season to linger up there. A nice place, though, in a more clement season. Pipers getting tuned up.
Typical block of Alexandria townhouses.
Victoria, Bill and Patricia.
Plenty of wool sweaters and Harris tweed - whatever was warm! Of course, a traditional highlight are all the dogs of Scots lineage.

Nothing to click here, just a closeup of dogs in costume.

Nothing here to click either. Just men in kilts. Some had been having a nip against the chill.
The gentleman on the right is the Lord Provost (Mayor) of Dundee, Scotland, Alexandia's sister city. He's the only one here who should be wearing a kilt. Airedales.

Wolfhounds.
One of the most colorfully costumed companies.

And still more.  Keeping the beat.
Alexandria Mayor, the Honorable William Euille. Kurt, happy for each of his layers.
More guys marching. Pat's scarf pin...a bejeweled grouse foot.
Victoria, warming up with a cup of coffee. I don't know exactly what it is, but Pat has one and was wearing it on Saturday.
Victoria and a portrait. Sunset and clouds over the apartment buildings.

That's all, folks....
