Victoria and I drove down to Madison, VA on 10/24/2002 for a few days of R&R and to celebrate V's birthday. We had a great time with Bill & Pat Heenan at their country place. We looked at horses, watched wine being made, drank some, ate BBQ and other fine fare. Generally relaxed and had a good, quiet spell. Click on the small photos for a full sized image.

Inside antique barn in Ruckersville, VA OK, not to worry. No one will be getting this for Christmas.
Victoria Victoria and her 'new' telephone.
Victoria makes a friend. These horses belong to the Heenan's neighbor. Each horse needed to be fussed over.
This was the most sociable and gentle of the four horses. Looking back over toward the Heenans' place (behind the trees).
I kind of expected to see "Some Pig" here. We drove about ten miles out of Madison, up in the wine-growing hill country.
Just a pretty shot. The Christensen Vineyard.
Barrels in the winery. All the grapes have been harvested and all the action is back in the winery. The smell was wonderful!
View of the winery from the large farmhouse atop the hill. Larry, pouring tastes of his wines.
Back down in Madison, more visiting with the horses. Pat, Kurt, Bill and the birthday girl. Heading to dinner at the Bleu Rock Inn.
